Updates all around!

Hello all, glad your here to enjoy my wonderful life and my adventures in it as well. The last week has been so eventful that I haven't even posted till now! I gotcha on the edge of your computer chair now don't I?

Ok so Monday was a very long day, my first day of clinical at Willamette Falls and what do I get at 5 in the morning? A txt from the wife telling me that the babysitter (co-worker) was in the ER and that I now have to bring the kido to work so she can watch him at the same time she is dealing with patients. WTF! It went off very well and no foul done but clinical was something else.

Clinical was supposed to be a very laid back day just like the other sites except that my former program director is now the head RT and our site director. Little is to be said but we were thrown right into the thicknof things and were quizzed all day long. The only real orientation we got was the 10 minute run down of The code system. It was a freaking blast though!

Tuesday was more of the same but with more hands on in clinical and actually having a babysitter (Christine) that came by the house to watch Aidan.

Now by Wednesday things get really fun not only due to the complete lack of sleep by Stephanie and I but also because I had an appointment with the ortho about my should and the pain. He said that the tears in my rotator cuff and lebrum were not big enough to harm me and that PT would help strengthen everything else. This means NO SURGERY!!! YEAH!!

Speaking about Stephanie, she has been just plain amazing this last week with her working nights and myself at school or clinical during the day! I love you sweety!

Anywho, nothing really exciting came about till Friday when just before I was to leave for home from clinical we had a code called and I got to see how it's done before I left, it was sweet!!

The weekend has been great, two beautiful, hot summer days spent with the family. We mowed the yards, put up a new swimming pool for Aidan (which he loved) and took a couple drives around the outskirts of town. Now relaxing with the wife before bed and another week like the one. I love you Stephanie! Good night all!

A beautiful day... Inside?

What a beautiful day in Portland, OR! This day is exactly what everyone needed. People outside mowing the lawn, playing in the park, going to the Rose Festival, and the smell of BBQ outside is delish! Why am I inside then?

Stephanie has to work all weekend so that means she is going to be sleeping during the daytime hours and Aidan and I are trying to figure out what we can do. Now, I don't hate the weekends like this when Steph works but this one is sort of rubbing me the wrong way. I love that she is sacrificing so much so that I can go to school but sometimes I wish she didn't have to.

Aidan and I tried going to see the Naval ships that came in yesterday but having it been the ONLY sunny day so far of the Rose Festival EVERYONE came out as well so it turned out to be a waste of a trip cause there was no way I would of completed that trip by myself. I would love to get the lawn mowed but I need someone to watch Aidan while I do it as well maybe wash the cars but I need Aidan watched which won't happen till after 4 or 5 in which Steph will be up but then we have to get dinner going and she has to get ready for work.

We tried the local park but that place was packed as well and couldn't even find a parking spot. WTF! And now I seem to have the grumpiest child alive who won't take a nap, eat anything, and just wants to cry... If only I had a backyard (another blog for that one).

Anyways, thanks for listening to a father vent about his beautiful day inside. I really do love you Stephanie and I REALLY do appreciate your sacrifice.

Sidelined?

Well I got my magical MRI results back today and boy oh boy were they just somethan!

It turns out that one of my earlier times injuring this shoulder I seem to have almost killed it and when I pulled on the lawn mower to start it I did kill it. The MRI showed that I partially tore my rotator cuff, my labrum, and it was an AC seperation, not a dislocation which for some reason there is something different about the two.

Anyways, the PA said that she wants me to go through PT for four weeks and then see an ortho about it due to the concern she has. She also stated that I might need surgery to really fix anything else. Oh boy!

Well I will update all of you with my school and work functions due to this when the time comes around but until I see the the ortho after four weeks of PT this is good night. I love you stephanie!
